1. Knowledge takes a long time to disseminate into the public sphere
The amount of knowledge about the human self, our earth, and the universe has advanced dramatically over the last 100-plus years. This knowledge will continue to move forward quickly. The challenge is educating the public on this knowledge. Like all knowledge, it takes time to disseminate from the source of knowledge to all of society. Because knowledge is increasing in many areas so quickly, current textbooks in education institutions become outdated quickly in many fields.
2. Competition, hierarchy, and small in-groups have humans using knowledge to gain an advantage vs sharing new knowledge
Throughout all of human history, there was not a tribe of 8 billion. The human brain still thinks smaller: What is the best for my family? What is the best for my In Group?
Another example showing how the human brain is slowly evolving in an exponential world. It also shows how the human brain seeks what is useful to them. Human society has advanced dramatically in knowledge of the self and much about how the earth works. As an example, the human brain processes In Group vs Out Group in milliseconds. It is known throughout most of the world. However, it is taking a long time for human society to become self aware to this fact and overcome unnecessary biases. Another example is that no human alive picked their parents at their birth, the color of the skin, the beliefs and worldviews taught to them as children, or the country in which they were born. Yet, this basic common sense statement is absent from discourse. Lastly, you see movements that can be declared as anti-intellectualism. There is a fear of knowledge as it can invade and impact personal world views.
3. Knowledge will continue to positively improve the human experience
There are many positive impacts to increased knowledge within society. There are multiple improvements to life invented and implemented every year.

The quickness in which human society is learning more about itself is impressive. However, that knowledge is taking a long time to be shared with society. In the meantime, knowledge is being used to manipulate people and make them angry at designed outgroups.
