Area we will be monitoring for Knowledge:

1.  How acquired knowledge can help solve human issues along with how knowledge can add more risk to society.

Note:  Knowledge is vital for organizations and individuals for adapting to change.  Since that is unique to each organization and individual, we will just cover societies use of knowledge.

DETACHED OBSERVATION STATEMENT

>  Knowledge will continue to follow the pattern of the human brain in its slow development.  There will continue to be those who feel knowledge should be shared and society should be educated while there will be those who want to keep knowledge to themselves and will use knowledge as a weapon to gain status.  

RISK and what we will be monitoring

The risk for society is the small ingroup and worldview held by some that would like to take knowledge and use it to harm others.  There will also continue to be ways that some individuals take knowledge and use it against others to make them hate other people different from them.  

Example

Certain groups and individuals will take the knowledge that the insula does both physical and moral disgust.  By manipulating others by using words that trigger this disgust, and without them understanding, hate towards an outgroup can form and take away rational thinking.  

The risk that will be monitored as humans move forward, will more of the manipulation take hold or will people become more self-aware of how their brain works.  

The opportunity that will be monitored is how new knowledge can and will solve issues that human society is facing.
